I designed this website for the all-girl rock band Fatal Affair using Google Sites. All graphics besides the logo were created by me using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
The band's creative vision aligned very well with my personal art style, making this a super fun project! They wanted a punk-rock aesthetic featuring red, black and white colors with a collage-like feel. I accomplished this by creating custom graphics for the site. For the carousels, I created a Photoshop template to give each image the same torn paper treatment.
I had a lot of fun with the "about" page. For the decorative graphics, I used Illustrator to image trace photos of their instruments and create the background shapes. I then used Photoshop to mess around with the colors and halftones, and to finish it off I used the brush tool in Photoshop to draw punk-rock style doodles around the graphics. I used Photoshop to add texture to the band's photos, which really helped sell the collage-like feeling they wanted.
This was my first website for a band and I had so much fun working with them! I would love to do more work like this to bring other artist's creative visions to life.
I created the Tennessee Zoning Reform Association (TNZR) for an Interaction Design course at Middle Tennessee State University while pursuing my degree. The goal of this project was to create a Figma prototype for a website on a social issue we were passionate about. I feel strongly about zoning regulations and reform, so I created TNZR, a made-up non-profit organization that advocates for zoning law reform.Â
I chose a soft blue, green and white color scheme for the website to convey a sense of sustainability. The graphics and company logo were designed by me in Adobe Illustrator. The copy for the site was written by me, excluding some research and data. All prototyping for the website was done by me in Figma.
I designed this website using Google Sites! I am currently working on coding a custom portfolio website from scratch, but I am waiting to publish it until it is fully responsive and compatible with all browser types. I have basic working knowledge of HTML and CSS and am working on integrating Javascript and Bootstrap features into my website. In the video above, I take you on a tour of my website in progress and show you some behind the scenes of my code!
