THE PARIS POST–INTELLIGENCER

I worked as a reporter for The Paris Post–Intelligencer in Paris, Tennessee for two weeks. This opportunity was priceless for my interviewing and writing skills. As participants in Leon Alligood's "Road Trip Class," my classmates and I explored the town and found leads for stories. The Post-Intelligencer published three of my stories, and my feature about Covid–19 travel nurse Yvette Young made their Top Stories list.

MTSU SIDELINES

Below you will find stories I wrote during my time with MTSU Sidelines, Middle Tennessee State University's student–run news organization. As a news reporter and staff writer, I covered anything relevant to MTSU students, ranging from campus vandalisms and student housing to local artists, academic research and conferences.

In a partnership with Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in 2023, a select group of other Sidelines reporters and I were given media passes and wrote stories alongside professional reporters. Being a part of this group allowed me to share the stories of some amazing people like Eric Fortaleza, the founder of Nashville–based non–profit Pitch Meeting and members of the performing arts group House of Yes.
